About Shihan P.A. Madden

Allow me to introduce myself—Shihan P.A. Madden, founder and chief instructor of Bugeisha Fighting Arts and Self Defence 4U. With over four decades of experience in martial arts, I bring a lifetime of dedication, discipline, and expertise to every class.

I began my martial arts journey at the age of 11, training in Wing Chun, and over the years, I have honed my skills across a wide range of disciplines, including:

• Shukokai Karate (2nd-degree black belt)
• Kickboxing and Freestyle Karate (6th-degree black belt)
• Bugeisha (9th-degree black belt and founder)
• Kung Fu, Muay Thai, Aikido,jujutsu and Kajukenbo 
• Close Quarter Combat and Unarmed Combat Systems specialist

My practical experience includes working as a door supervisor for 15 years, where I applied self-defense skills in real-world situations, and teaching members of the Army  and  maltese police force also working with private organisations for over 4 years 

My accolades include:

• Gold Medalist in European Martial Arts
• Expert Level Krav Maga Practitioner
• Extreme Warrior Finalist 2007 and Gold Medal Holder
